SCOTT KRIJNEN
TEACHER, CONDUCTOR, CELLIST
Do all that you can, while you can

SERVE YOUR COMMUNITY
Collaboration, community and support are the pillars of my teaching and conducting; the conduit
to bring those ideals to fruition. Whether we become doctors, lawyers, violinists or engineers, we
are all citizens and through effective communication we can bring excellence to the stage and
share our joy of music with our audience. It is with great joy and a deep sense of duty that I
happily serve our community through music and performance.
YOU ARE THE SUCCESS!
Scott Krijnen is here to inspire and engage with one fundamental philosophy - that you are the success! Music is not only a wonderful form of expression, but a conduit to see your limitless possibilities as an artist and a member of your community.
LESSONS
Customized to Fit Your Needs
With 15 years of teaching experience crossing all levels, Scott Krijnen knows how to connect and inspire. Whether you're 9 or 90, we are all life-long learners and he will support and design a plan that fits your needs.
CONDUCTING
Experience and Energy
Known for his ability to connect and inspire, Scott Krijnen enjoys all levels of conducting and music making. Comfortable in professional, community and educational settings, his versatility allows him to meet any ensemble's needs..
The most impressive aspect of the string program at Castillero lives in the students themselves. The success of the string program at Castillero is completely character-driven. The culture in Scott Krijnen’s classroom reflects an emphasis on outstanding citizenship and stewardship of the community through self-mastery. I sense a desire to improve oneself from every group of students that I have worked with there. They are consistently the most courteous, self-respecting, grateful, wonder-filled, and caring group of middle school students that I have ever worked with regularly. Would that all young people learn the mindset shared by the kids in the string program at Castillero, the movement away from increasingly questionable standardized testing towards a system of responsibly doing your best with what you have to better the world may not sound merely idealistic.
